Teach Kids The Alphabet And Remind Them About Paper

It seems kind of ridiculous to integrate an iDevice into crayon and paper drawing time. Some things are sacred. But for kids who are addicted to all of the screens in their lives DRAWNIMAL might be a useful transition.

The app teaches the alphabet by assigning each letter an animal and displaying only the animal’s face. Details of the body have to be added in on paper. The app suggests some ears, manes and tails, but obviously kids can also just draw whatever they want to make different animals. There’s support for English, Spanish, French and Dutch and the animations are simple and colourful. It’s free in the App Store. Though, to be fair, actually drawing with pen and paper is also basically free. [The Next Web]
