Behold The Fastest CF Card Ever Made (For Now)

Are you worried your compact flash card won’t be able to keep up with the demands of the upcoming 4K revolution? Toshiba’s got your back with its new Exceria Pro series CF cards that boast read and write speeds of 160MB/s and 150MB/s respectively, making them the world’s fastest — for the time being.

Available in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB capacities starting April 27th, the cards are compliant with the VPG-65 standard which means they can maintain the minimum write speed of 65MB/s necessary for capturing 4K content. The new cards should also appeal to DSLR owners who like to snap away with their megapixels maxed out. As for pricing info? Toshiba isn’t revealing that just yet, but you can safely assume that even the small 16GB option isn’t going to be priced for amateurs. [Toshiba via Fareastgizmos]
