This Building Is Too Insane To Be A Bank

The Nord LB Building is freaking crazy. Located in Hanover, Germany, it’s home to one of the country’s largest banks and is far too absurd to be home to a financial institution.

Perhaps that’s exactly the point, because a bank is probably not the most exciting place to go to work every day. Working in an insane structure that looks like steel and glass boxes stacked on top of each other has to be some sort of consolation at least.

Designed by Behnisch, Behnisch & Partners, the building was completed in 2002. It was constructed in a way that’s supposed to reduce carbon emissions, and, you know, be more eco-friendly. We think it looks amazing. [Pinterest]
