OK, this story is just odd. Shaquille O’Neal is one of the greats of the NBA, and a man who was genuinely difficult to stop on the court. However, when he tried to muscle his way into getting an early iPhone, the story was quite different.
Shaq was interviewed at SXSW, where he was seeking out startups to back via 15 second video. He claims he’s wanted to be on the cutting edge of tech for some time.
He also described himself as a proud geek and nerd. Good for him, although I am slightly amused at the concept of calling him Shaq-y. I don’t think I’d call him that to his face.
