Quad-Core Galaxy S 4 Seems Likely For Australia

If you were hanging out for that sweet octa-core processor in some versions of the Samsung Galaxy S 4, you might be in for a little disappointment if Australia follows the UK’s lead.

Details of the UK version of the Galaxy S 4 have been released, and EuroDroid reports that the UK model will ship with the 1.9GHz quad-core processor. Why would that potentially matter for the Australian market, given that Samsung has both quad-core and octa-core versions of the phone? Simply because the existing UK 4G scene is still pretty nascent, but EE, the first off the block with 4G in the UK, runs its LTE network at the 1800Mhz frequency, and that’s exactly what the current Australian 4G networks use.
