There are billions of people on the planet, but what are the chances you’ll fall in love with one of them? This video explores the possibility using a couple of equations, and it might soften your shrivelled black heart just a little bit.
First, the clip explores the hunt for a mate with Fermi’s Paradox, the contradiction of the likelihood of alien life and the fact that we haven’t made contact with extraterrestrials yet. Then it piggybacks with Drake’s equation, which is used to calculate the possible number of civilisations in the Milky Way Galaxy.
The conclusion? There are billions of fish in the sea. You already knew that, and it isn’t the most sound use of science, but it’s pretty fun to think of all the potential mates waiting out in the universe for you. [ItsOkayToBeSmart]

Love, is just hormones telling your body to procreate. Which is why most teenage boys will love pretty much anything to death. Finding Love is all about finding someone to procreate with. Now if you can find someone that will let you procreate with them and they are willing to let you keep on doing it, you will eventually want to stop looking around for more candidates and settle down with them. When that happens, then you are "in love"!
That might be your interpretation on love but it's certainly not the case for all of us. There are plenty of couples out in the world who are in love and decide not to have children. I think your view on love is kind of bleak.

It's perfectly OK to be a romantic! If you have found someone that has enabled you to get to the non hormonal part first, then more power to you. However for the most part, evolution is in control and hormones are it's biggest weapon. It might be a clinical view, but that doesn't make it any less relevant. Having said that I don't treat my wife as a baby making machine, never have, never will. She gets flowers on a random basis and knows how much she means to me.

Well your not going to find love on the internet, i've been searching for 13 years online, with many failed relationships from dating sites.
you would have thought to rethink your strategy after 1 or 2 years, but 13 years??
get out of the house man
go watch simple pickup on youtube
lol, I have had 4 2-3 year relationships in that time, none coming to a marriage. and if I get out anymore between social events with friends, gym classes, triathlons and clubbing.... well I wont have time to sleep.
oh thats what you meant. sorry it sounded like you were just trawling the dating sites for 13 years
