Neil deGrasse Tyson just took the mystery out of a cosmic mystery in comics, and somehow made it even cooler. How much does Mjolnir, the hammer of Thor and forged from a collapsing star, actually weigh? Turns out, stars weigh a lot.
And then, naturally, he got his hands on the real thing.
Anyone want to bang out the maths on Cap’s shield on a napkin while we’re at it? [Twitter]

Neil's holding it himself. This proves his awesomeness
Hmm, he's cool but not so much that you'd end up with a brown stain on yer nose :)
I was thinking tonge.
tonge?
From looking at the 2 photos there you know that that is Neil?
You must study his hands a lot.
Should we contact Neil and warn him about a stalker?
*licks his lips*
As for how I know, a good stalker just does. Also, inference since he's mentioned that he was lent the hammer by Thor - so why not photo yourself with it?

I believe that's 2.1 quadrillion kilograms give or take a kilo.
Anyone know how to calculate the gravity for that?
ask the dude from xkcd...

Neil hangs that off his pecker to make it look bigger.
