This Is The Future Of Videos On Twitter

In October of last year, Twitter picked up a little video clip company called “Vine” before it even got the chance to launch. Now it’s finally being folded into Twitter, and CEO Dick Costolo is showing it off.

As you can see, the upcoming functionality will allow users to embed auto-playing GIF-like videos right into their tweets. And, thankfully, the sound is disabled by default. There’s no telling when this feature will actually be rolling out, and for now this is purely a tease. That said, it looks like a pretty sweet feature to have wrapped right into Twitter. We can’t wait to get the chance to play with it. [Dick Costolo via Anthony De Rosa
