At one point in this absurdly hot week, bushfire were burning all over the country. 135 simultaneous fires were recorded in NSW on Tuesday, and the flames are so big that they can be seen from the International Space Station.

Commander Chris Hadfield is a specialist aboard the International Space Station and he’s a serial shutterbug from one of the best vantage points in the galaxy.
Yesterday he passed over Australia, and noticed a bit of a smoking problem, and of course, where there’s smoke, there’s fire.
