Never Ask The IRIS 9000 iPhone Dock To Lie

Though cleverly named the IRIS 9000 to dodge any legal trouble with MGM, 2001: A Space Odyssey fans should have no trouble recognising this HAL 9000 doppleganger that’s designed to make using Siri feel a little more sci-fi. But whatever you do, don’t ask it to lie or conceal the truth.

The not-quite-a-dock connects to your iOS device over Bluetooth, so it works with both the iPhone 4 and 5 without the need for a lightning adaptor. And using an included remote, you can activate Siri from across the room. A built-in extra-sensitive mic picks up your voice from afar, while a speaker ensures you can always hear Siri’s response. The best feature, though, is a glowing red eye that flickers along with her response, but fortunately can’t read lips.

The dock is a ThinkGeek exclusive that can also be used as an amplified speakerphone, which is probably the best way to convince your office manager to shell out $US60 for one. Does anyone else now have Bicycle Built For Two stuck in their heads? [ThinkGeek]
