Cycloramic: An App That Automatically Rotates Your iPhone 5 To Make 360-Degree Videos

Whoa, this is the coolest thing we’ve seen an app do in a while.

What does it do?

Cycloramic uses your iPhone’s vibration and sensors to rotate itself and take a 360-degree video. Only works on flat, hard, shiny surfaces. But really, the video is probably secondary. IT MAKES YOUR PHONE DANCE.

Why do we like it?

It’s one of those rare apps that’s creative enough to get you to notice it, but also useful enough to not be a use-it-once-and-never-again gimmick. Well, probably. At the very least it easily makes the hypothetical Letterman Stupid Phone Tricks list. That is, until you use it somewhere dumb and your phone falls off a table.
