Samsung held a massive event in Sydney last night to launch its IFA 2012 product line to the Australian market. Finally! There are a huge amount of things we’re saw including the local launch of the Galaxy Note II. First up for the night, though, was the Galaxy Camera — an Android-powered still camera that’s finally coming Down Under.
Here are the headlines:
The Galaxy Camera is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, and it will launch with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. That makes it better than a lot of the phones Samsung has on the market right now. It’s got a 4.8-inch touchscreen and a swathe of other features including best face to grab the best shot, a Smart Content Manager for facial recognition in your album and Smart Pro mode which packs 15 presets into the device so you don’t have to fiddle.
It’ll set you back $599 when it comes out in December.
Stay tuned for our first local impressions.
