The month of December is being restored to users on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean after the bug was spotted in the People app more than a week ago. The update is currently being pushed over the air to Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 devices and includes a few other bug fixes.
The patch reportedly addresses Bluetooth connectivity issues along with the bug that saw November followed immediately by January, skipping December altogether. Considering the update is relatively small at under 2MB, fixes for random reboots and other problems are unlikely to be included this time around. According to reports, the LTE loophole has not been disabled either.
If you haven’t received the update notification yet, you can check for the update by going into Settings and checking for a system update. You must be on stock Android 4.2 to get the update over the air. If you’re running custom firmware or in a hurry to get the update, you can flash the update manually using this ZIP file.
