This Roku-Friendly Pocket Projector Streams Nearly Anything, Anywhere

A big-screen TV is great for the living room, but you’d be hard-pressed to take it anywhere. The new 3M Streaming Projector Powered By Roku, on the other hand, is a bit more portable, and will let you splash your favourite streaming content onto the surface of your choice, at sizes as large as 120 inches wide.

The projector itself is pretty small, weighing 1lb and comfortably fitting in one hand, and boasts around two and a half hours of projection on a single charge. When it comes to audio, you have the choice of built-in speakers, or a 3.5mm headphone jack, if you’d rather attach your own. You’re also going to need content to stream, which is where Roku comes in; the Roku streaming stick, included as a package deal, can beam content like Amazon Instant Video, Netflix, and Hulu Plus to the projector over Wi-Fi. The device will be available exclusively from Amazon sometime this November, and will go for $US299. [Engadget]
