Presumably in an attempt to boost sales, Sharp’s got a new line of professional office photocopiers that boast a built-in Plasma-cluster Ion air purifier. It claims the gimmick is to help stop the spread of disease and sickness in an office environment given everyone shares the photocopier.

But in reality it just seems like Sharp’s slapped a technology it’s trying to promote onto another piece of hardware that has worked just fine without it. It’s like a corporate version of the toaster radio, but there are far worse offenders than that out there.
