Swarming quadcopters give us a terrifying insight into the future of surveillance and warfare, but when they’re beautifully lit and soaring through the night sky for our visual pleasure, it’s almost a future I get excited about. Check out this swarm of 50 drones dancing through the air in this spectacular light show.
The drone dance is called “The Cloud in the Web” and it sees 50 Hummingbird drones with orb-like lights strapped to them take off from a fixed position and move in space to create beautiful patterns. [Ars Electronica via DVICE]
