LunchTimeWaster: Asteroids

Back in 1979, the arcade cabinet of Asteroids was the first game to use Atari’s ‘QuadraScan’ vector-refresh display. Now Atari Arcade online lets you get your retro fix from within your browser — complete with HTML5, multi-touch and multiplayer support in Internet Explorer 10. It also works great in any other modern browser.

Celebrating Atari’s 40th Anniversary, Atari Arcade lets you spend your lunchtime playing updated versions of legendary games like Asteroids, Combat, Centipede, Lunar Lander, Missile Command, Pong, Super Breakout and Yar’s Revenge. Look out for new gameplay features, real-time battles, updated graphics, plus Facebook and Twitter integration.
