As predicted, it’s the year of convertibles at IFA 2012. Lenovo is the latest contender to throw its hat in the ring, announcing — among other things — the Ideatab S2110 convertible tablet that boasts an insane 20-hour battery life.
Lenovo is pitching the device as a “premium entertainment tablet” with an optional keyboard, meaning that on the spectrum of touchscreen laptops and tablets with keyboards, the new Ideatab falls in the latter category.
It’s a 10-inch tablet that brings with it an IPS display, micro-HDMI port (for 1080p mirroring), 10 hours of battery life, 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front camera, 1GB of RAM and Wi-Fi connectivity.
When it’s connected to the keyboard dock, battery power is doubled to a whopping 20 hours, while bringing USB ports and an SD card slot to the fold. The device is textured for easy gripping, too, Lenovo says.
No word on Australian availability or pricing just yet, but the US can expect to see the Ideatab on shelves right now at a cost of $US299.
