The Sunshine Aquarium in the Ikebukuro district of Tokyo features a unique see-through tank that lets visitors watch the facility’s seal population swim laps. But the aquarium’s added a special penguin exhibit this year, which is giving the little birds a taste of what it’s like to fly.
During their nightly excursion, the penguins get exclusive access to the circular tank known as the Aqua Ring. The seals, which are natural predators of penguins, because an up-close view of what might happen between a penguin and a seal might not be enjoyable for the aquarium’s younger guests.
