Rumourmodo: The Most Ridiculous Kindle Fire Sleuthing You’ll Ever See

Does this FCC filing reveal information about the next Amazon Kindle Fire? It’s hard to say for sure because, as exhaustive detective work by the Digital Reader reveals, it was filed by a front company for a front company that’s fronting for someone that’s maybe/probably Amazon. Oh the joys of poring over FCC documents!

Because much of this filing is being kept confidential, all we’ve got to go on is a label and the name of a company. As indicated in the label filing, it will be affixed onto a four-sided device with dimensions closer to those of the iPad than those of widescreen 7-inch tablets. Does that mean the next Kindle Fire will be an iPad clone? Maybe? But we definitely know that it will be a rectangle, so there’s that.

And how, pray tell, do we know that this white box is an Amazon filing in the first place? Well, don’t for sure, but The Digital Reader figured out that Harper’s, LLC is definitely a front company. In fact, it’s actually a front company for another front company, CSC Entity Services, which Amazon has used to conceal products in the past.

Yes, that’s all incredibly vague and doesn’t mean anything at all, but you gotta hand it to the internet; no matter how hard companies try to hide what they’re doing someone always seems to find it. Or at least they think they have. [FCC via The Digital Reader via CultofMac]
