Real-Life Andy Warhol Campbell’s Soup Cans Make Your Pantry A Canvas

Since Andy Warhol’s original artwork can sell for millions of dollars at auction, Campbell’s has made it possible for all of us to have a piece of the artist’s work at home.

Fifty years ago, Warhol unveiled his tribute to Americana called 32 Campbell’s Soup Cans. To celebrate the anniversary, the company is releasing a series of limited edition soup cans letting anyone recreate one of his more recognisable pieces.

Getting them in the first place will be tricky though, as they will be sold exclusively by Target in the US. Each can features distinctly coloured labels reflecting Warhol’s unique vision. And, unlike his paintings, the cans will sell for just 75 cents each — a downright bargain for art collectors and condensed soup lovers. [Adweek]
