In addition to the remotely operated robotic camera rigs that will snap photos as close to the athletes as possible, the news agency is also using a new underwater setup that allows them to download stunning images of Olympic swimmers the second they’re captured. Which is a big improvement over previous systems that — believe it or not — required someone to swim down to the camera between events to manually retrieve a memory card.
