The Daily Might Be Dead By December

Remember when The Daily was launched by last year Rupert Murdoch? It was meant to save journalism by updating it with fresh, amazing content presented in a new and fancy tablet-only format. Doesn’t look like that’s working out so well, with reports pointing to the publication’s demise before the year is out.

The New York Observer reports that The Daily has been put “on watch” according to sources, adding that it’s costing News Corp $US30 million a year to keep it alive.

It will reportedly stick around until the US Elections on 6 November, but we’ll be watching closely to see if it survives into 2013. [New York Observer via 9to5Mac]
