HTC One S Coming To Telstra, Virgin And Optus Next Month

The super-thin, properly sexy HTC One S has been on your gadget lust list since it was announced, mark your calendar, because it’s heading onto three of Australia’s major telcos in the next few weeks.

HTC today announced that Virgin, Optus and Telstra would get the device on their networks. The timing is a little weird: Virgin and Optus will get it from July 2, but Telstra customers will be waiting until July 17 to get their contracted hands on it.

Optus will offer the One S for $0 upfront on its $50 Optus Plan for 24 months. That plan will nab you $500 worth of standard calls and texts to Australian mobiles and 1GB of included data.

Virgin, meanwhile, will let you walk out of the store with a One S for $0 upfront on a $39 Big Plan for 24 months. That one includes $650 worth of calls and texts per month and a 2.5GB data allowance. Virgin will also throw in a free pair of Beats Solo headphones with the One S for a limited time.

Plans for Telstra’s HTC One S are still on the down-low. We’ll let you know as soon as we have them, but for now, you can register your interest here.

The HTC One S boasts a 1.7Ghz dual-core processor, Gorilla Glass, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box (although that’s less impressive now that Jelly Bean is on the way), a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED screen, metal unibody casing and Beats audio to boot.

You’ll also get 25GB worth of Dropbox storage per month for free when you pick up the One S. That’s nothing to sniff at.
