On stage at Google I/O, engineering director Chris Yerga announced a bunch of new content coming to Google Play. Starting today, you can now purchase TV shows — full episodes or entire seasons — in the store, as well as movies.
Magazines are also coming, with “hundreds of titles” from a bunch of major publishers, including Hearst, who Yerga name-checked. This is good for Google Play, although these features have been available in the iTunes App Store and on Amazon for years.
