At first glance, they appear to be aerial photos of congested cityscapes, but artist Hong Seon Jang‘s “Type City” is actually a micro-scale model metropolis made entirely of discarded letterpress typesets! [Inhabitat]

“Type City” is a solo show on display at the David B Smith Gallery in Denver, Colorado.

Look closely and you’ll notice atop each “building” there is a letter of the alphabet.

From the right perspective, “Type City” looks spookily like a flat world with an edge to plummet off of.

This tiny city measures just 61 x 28cm and soars a whopping 35.5cm high.
