KegDroid: Beer And Android, Together At Last

Sometimes, I get so cranky with mobile operating systems that I could really use a drink. This nifty hack brings both together by fusing a Motorola Xoom to a Beer Keg by way of Google+.

We’ve seen an iPad-powered keg before (http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2010/08/ipad-powered-kegbot/), but not one that went all in with identifiable branding like this. I wonder if Google would officially licence it?

Kegdroid combines quite a few bits of technology; not only an embedded Xoom, but also an NFC card reader and an application that can pour different sizes of beer. The only real problem? If you watch that video, it appears to pour a pretty poor beer. [YouTube via Geekosystem]
