$4000 Crane Lamp Is A 1:50 Scale Model Of The Real Thing

Standing nearly 2m tall, the Crane Lamp by former Lego designer Charlie Davidson is supposedly a scale model of the largest crawler crane in the world. The huge crane portion of the lamp sits by the wall and hoists up a glass-tube light sculpture over the centre of the room.

No word on how much weight the adjustable crane model can lift, but its hefty price tag will take a load off your wallet, if you’re interested. Davidson will show off the Crane Lamp at the Salone del Mobile 2012 in Milan later this month after which the lamp will presumably be available to the masses. [Charlie Davidson via Born Rich]
