Mercedes Makes An Invisible Minivan

Mercedes claims that its new fuel cell technology results in vehicles with no omissions, so it’s as if they’re invisible to the environment. And to drive this fact home, literally, they created a vehicle that was invisible to everything else.

Well, at least on one side it is. Half of the vehicle was covered in LEDs creating a giant display showing the live view from a Canon 5D Mark II on the other side. The effect isn’t perfect, as is obvious by everyone stopping as the vehicle drives by, but in shots where it’s sitting still, it’s actually pretty hard to spot before a test pattern flickers across its body.
