I think this is a step that nobody saw coming; there’s now an official — or at least as official as anything coming from Anonymous could ever be — Anonymous operating system. Needless to say, you’d run it at your own risk.
Which creates the problem of whether an Anonymous Operating System would be inherently more secure, or simply an open free for all.
Anonymous OS is a 32-bit Ubuntu derivative. As per its about page:
“Anonymous-OS Live is an ubuntu-based distribution and created for educational purposes, to checking the security of web pages.”
The distribution comes with the following applications pre-installed
– ParolaPass Password Generator
– Find Host IP
– Anonymous HOIC
– Ddosim
– Pyloris
– Slowloris
– TorsHammer
– Sqlmap
– Havij
– Sql Poison
– Admin Finder
– John the Ripper
– Hash Identifier
– Tor
– XChat IRC
– Pidgin
– Vidalia
– Polipo
– JonDo
– i2p
– Wireshark
– Zenmap
Call me just a teensy bit paranoid, but I don’t think I’ll be running it anywhere any time soon. Those of a more robust disposition could download it here.
