Microsoft promised we’d see the Windows 8 Consumer preview before the end of February, and they’re holding true to the word. The company has arranged a small event in Barcelona during Mobile World Congress to unveil the latest version of the upcoming OS on February 29, the very last day of the month (during a leap year, no less).

Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 10:10 AMYeah, I checked around yesterday to see what’s available. Found a few 23/24″ models for between three and four hundred, but they were all in the US. Ozzy ones are a tad light on the ground, and pretty expensive. Amazon has some but no doubt they won’t ship overseas!

Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 10:45 AMI also had a look after posting, seems there is an Acer T231H and a Dell ST2220T in that $3-400 range.and available here.
They both seem to have optical touch systems, not Capacitive or Resistive

Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 11:02 AMHmm, The Acer is getting a bit old and the Dell a bit too small for my taste, plus the specs aren’t all that good either. Hopefully now that W8 is on the way, they’ll start to make a bit more of a splash in Oz. Until then, I’ll just turn Metro off. :)
