Hey, that headline rhymes! Well, sort of. Sadly, that’s the only good news for those hanging out for a successor to the wildly popular Galaxy S II, as Samsung has confirmed it won’t be unveiling a successor at Mobile World Congress.
We’ve seen rumours of its code designation, and Samsung clearly have some kind of product that might be the Galaxy S III undergoing WiFi certification, but we apparently won’t see anything at Mobile World Congress. In a statement published on The Verge, Samsung is quoted as follows.
Samsung is looking forward to introducing and demonstrating exciting new mobile products at Mobile World Congress 2012. The successor to the Galaxy S II smartphone will be unveiled at a separate Samsung-hosted event in the first half of the year, closer to commercial availability of the product. Samsung stays committed to providing the best possible mobile experiences for customers around the world.

Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 9:56 AMIt should still be out in the first half of this year. Its amazing to see how many girls on the train now have the Galaxy S II. Its becoming fashionable. Once upon a time Android was the domain of geeky guys but now the girls are starting to get on board. If the Galaxy S III is released before the iPhone 5 its sales might surprise a few people.

Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 10:33 AMIf Samsung are hoping to blow the competition out of the water they must be way more advanced in specs.. I have no doubt it will be 16mp camera, 2gb ram and 2ghz exynos!
