I Just Fell In Love With iCade’s New Retro NES-Style Gamepad

If you loved the latest iCade controllers for iPhone and iPad, you are going to want to have sex with their new iCade 8-Bitty, which has just been presented at NYC’s Toy Fair 2012. It’s a Nintendo-style controller with eight buttons.

Like the iCade controllers, iCade 8-bitty works through Bluetooth. It has a directional pad, four face buttons, two shoulder buttons, and select and star buttons.

Developers, you can’t keep making stupid excuses for not supporting all the iCade hardware. This awesome thing is only $US25! If your game is faking physical joystick and button input on screen — and most game apps do — you must enable iCade support, period. It’s not complex at all.

Stay tuned for our hands-on! [ThinkGeek]
