Wanna know who’s got the most impressive web visuals we’ve seen in a while? It’s a little site called Acko.net, written by Steven Wittens. Just head over there and slowly scroll down. You’re looking into the web future. Here’s how they did it. [Acko.net via Joel Johnson]

Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 11:23 AMDo you people seriously not know what webkit is? Chrome or Safari are your choices guys.
Despite the lack of functionality, the fact that it doesn’t look horrible in Firefox or IE still impresses me.

Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 1:29 PMThat is called “progressive enhancement”. Sadly a lot of people these days don’t go do it, even though it gives everyone a readable, usable site at the very least.
It breaks on IE6, however every other IE shows the page in a readable state. By the nature of the site, i say its okay to disregard IE6.
Sadly, i think this site is bad. Sure its cool, but it does it on every page, and gets annoying, and I dare say it would disorientate users. Just because you can pull this off using CSS doesn’t mean you should.
