Some good news for Australian Nintendo fans keen on getting their hands on Nintendo’s upcoming Wii U console – the Japanese gaming giant has promised that the next-next generation gaming system will launch in in the United States, Europe, Japan and Australia this year.
Given Australia’s almost inevitable delayed release when it comes to major console launches compare do Japan and the US, having a confirmed local launch window in the same timeframe as those countries is great news. Huzzah!

TBH, still not sure how compelling this will be personally, but it’s a damn cool system and it’ll have a solid year on the competition.
The launch lineup had better be something decent though… in the end it’s the software that makes it or breaks it.
