Monday, January 23, 2012 at 1:06 PMThe app ‘SBSettings’ looks pretty good.
There are plenty of ‘top 5 iOS 5 cydia apps’ videos on YouTube, just check them out to find out which cydia apps are worth installing.

Monday, January 23, 2012 at 7:48 PMi bought an app called Barrel, you can make the app scroll different, which make a change from the normal scroll.
One app i have put onto my iPad 2 is HoneyPad Pro, it costs a little but for me its worth it, i love the simplicity of it, i know its weird considering that its Android Honeycomb UI on an ipad but i find it awesome.

Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 7:19 AMHi, 1 question from me – will Giz be making a new iPhone App? I’m really not a big fan of the current one.

Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 4:17 PMWith all these 4G phones coming out in Australia, I have a slight feeling that their wont be an iPhone 5, instead it’d be the iPhone 4G and after that it’ll be the iPhone 6, seeing as that’ll be the 6th iPhone release.
This is only a theory, a very poorly constructed, only popped-in-my-head-just-this-minute, theory. There is no proof to my words

Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 4:15 PMI have a question regarding some of the ads that are shown on Giz. Sony CES (which I’m not even sure if it is an ad) I completely understand. But the Shopstyle ones, which have nothing to do with tech at all, are a bit harder to fathom. What’s with that?
You haven’t mistaken Gizmodo for Fabsugar have you?

Friday, January 27, 2012 at 3:41 PMThis is so true,
An article on cracked – “stupidest things we use to judge people we dont know”.
http://www.cracked.com/blog/the-6-stupidest-things-we-use-to-judge-people-we-dont-know/
Scroll down to number 4 on the list which is – “the technology we buy”.
For those who dont want to make the jump i’ll quote it.
“I have friends who are militant Mac advocates. They’re constantly on me to switch from my archaic PC because “Mac is so much better at processing video.” When I tell them that I don’t really create video and that my PC does everything I need it to do, they assure me I’m being unreasonable, and go off to rub their boners together while talking about what the next iPad might look like. Evidently, I’m supporting The Man because I choose to use Windows instead of whatever jungle cat the current Mac operating system is naming itself after.
It’s the same with video game consoles. “You play an Xbox 360? Pfft. You haven’t lived until you’ve played a PS3.” If you have tech-savvy friends, you’ll hear it no matter what you buy. TVs, phones, computer monitors, speakers … pretty much anything that uses electricity, they know of or own something better. And it’s enough to make you want to grab their far superior technology and beat them with it until transistors flake off of their skulls like Terminator dandruff.
Now, I understand that if you’re a tech person and you see a friend about to make a mistake by purchasing something truly shitty, it’s your duty to step up and give them a warning. “I know this tower is cheaper, but the reason is because there’s no room for upgrades, and the components will be obsolete within a year. Paying a little extra for the other one will save you hundreds in the long run.” But that’s not what we’re doing when we scoff.
This is a point i completely agree with and i find it so trivial especially with the whole iPhone vs Android battle that’s raging, my opinion is who cares what phone i am using? if you prefer iPhone, great, if you prefer android great as well but what make people think that they are better then then everyone else because you have a phone that might be better.
And it is true that this can be transferred to any sort of technology, game consoles, TV’s and even bloody coffee machines, i went onto a coffee machine website to get info about a coffee machine i wanted and even in there was a battle about what brand of machine is superior.

Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 9:42 AMSo the other day using a harmony logitech I hacked into my lw6500 services menu allowing me to turn on features that where not active by default. I turned on the THX picture settings. It makes a huge difference in picture quality.
