Filmmaker Casey Neistat filmed a pretty funny PSA-type video about the dangers of texting and walking at the same time for the NY Times. It hilariously analyses the pitfalls of the text-and-walk which includes being rude, blind spots and the sheer danger of it all.
Watch the video and kids, remember, don’t text and walk. [NY Times via Laughing Squid]

Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 10:49 AMI think the point really is the amount of focus it actually takes to walk in a crowded area. You are constantly making decisions about direction, speed, obstacls, decision you can’t make while you’re focused on the small screen and what you are typing.
Even with AR, texting while walking is not going to be good for your health (or the health of those around you).
Mind you, people suddenly stopping in the middle of the path in order to re-orientate them selves is just as annoying :P
