Previously only a feature in Ice Cream Sandwich, a developer has ported the face-detection security tool to iOS: now it’s possible to unlock your iPhone just by showing it your pretty little face.
It’s not obvious whether it’s a direct port of the Android function, but it does look a hell of a lot like it. It also seems to take a lot longer than the Android version to work out who you are — in fact, so long that it’s probably impractical to actually use.
Still, it’s a neat trick and no doubt there’s plenty of scope to speed the thing up. It’s soon to be launched in the iOS App Store, so keep your eyes peeled. [boio.ro via Engadget]
