Two Girls Kicking A Ball Is The Most Awkward Thing I’ve Seen At CES Today

Panasonic created the world’s most depressing soccer field in their booth. The two girls that stood on opposite ends of the “field” are charged with kicking a soccer ball back and forth. The ball isn’t even filled with air. From the sound of the kicks, it seemed like it was filled with sand or sawdust.

But why, you’re asking. To what end have these promising young women been trapped in this Sisyphean pitch? So that visitors to the Panny booth can photograph them. I HOPE IT WAS WORTH IT.

Love how one of them is clearly seriously unhappy with her “role” while the other seems to actually care a bit..
Surprisingly, both appear to know how to kick a ball properly! I was truly expecting some models who couldn’t spell Ball let alone kick one.

Why are ANY booth babes at ANY show?
Because most visitors to these shows are men.
Men will look towards wherever the babes are at.
Besides, Chewbacca is a Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk. But Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor. Now think about it; that does not make sense!

I’m confused? Chewbacca lives on Endor?? I don’t know the extended universe but…
      1. In the clone wars Yoda met Chewbacca on Kashyyyk and it looked like he lived their.
      2. In the Return of the Jedi there is no mention of Chewbacca returning home to Endor, and He didn’t look like he knew or could even talk to the Ewoks on Endor?

Thanks for the link, I have now been schooled… Kinda of.
I used to watch the South Park alot when i was at school about 10 years ago and I loved it. I think i would still love it But the point in the trial is still wrong which isn’t the point.

It’s always bugged me too. At first I thought the incorrect details were part of the joke about the trial? Then I looked up the background and I don’t think that’s it.

Matt and Trey are big Star Wars fans I doubt they think Chewbacca’s from Endor or anything. It’s all a bit odd to me.

I think he might be referring to the Star Wars EU, AFTER the trilogy ends. Becuase duing the trilogy I’d say he lives in the Millenium Falcon. yea?

You forgot the Star Wars Television special where it clearly shows Chewbacca and his family (wife, grandparent and son). The orginial actors where in the special (Harrison Ford as Han Solo etc etc). It took place on his home planet Kashyyyk.

Looks like everyone missed the point of the display. It clearly shows that Blondes have more fun! The blonde actually kicks with both left and right feet whereas the brunette only kicks with her right foot. Yes, being able to kick with both feet = more fun (or at least more imagination).

    Pay attention next time!

    *Somewhere over at Panasonic*
Idea Guy: I got it! We should have two girls standing there, kicking …wait for it…a soccer ball…
    ..silence..
    Big Chief: That…is brilliant!
    *Present*
    CES customer: WTF?

I know, that’s the most realistic 3D TV I have ever seen (even if it is just a video of the TV) it’s like they could actually be in your lounge room kicking the soccer ball

It’s called Subliminal Marketing – get the individual to start thinking about your product/brand and then provide the means for subconcious access, in this case eye movement following the ball emulates REM and allows a pleasent picture to be planted in the mind and be associated with the product/brand. Still the question arises, why this? Two reasons: Girls and Sport!
