The Top Android Tablet Is The… Kindle Fire?

Move over Galaxy Tab — according to one analytics firm, Amazon’s Kindle Fire is on track to become the king of Android tablets.

The stats come from Flurry, a site that tracks Android analytics by application session. The Galaxy Tab had commanded a lion’s share of the market going into the end of the year, but the Fire’s quickly caught up; Flurry now estimates that the two tablets share 36 per cent of the Android market each.

Anyalsis figures are always worth taking with a pinch of salt, but it’s interesting reading nonetheless, especially when you consider that the Fire’s so heavily Internet-laden; is that what’s driving up its figures? [Flurry via Phandroid]
