Sony’s Personal 3D Viewer Available For Pre-Order On Friday

Say goodbye to fights with the other half over who gets to watch the TV – Sony has just announced that its personal 3D viewer is coming to Australia, with 100 units available for pre-order on Friday.

The viewer, which features two 0.7-inch OLED screens and integrated surround sound headphones for a personal 3D experience, went on sale in the US last year for $US800 to fairly positive reviews. In Australia, the unit is going to sell for $899, with the main shipment becoming available in the middle of March.

We knew that preorders were coming back at CES, but it’s good to know that it’s only a few days away.

If it weren’t for the massive self-imposed budget restrictions I have since having a baby at the end of last year, I’d definitely be getting one. Anyone else planning on picking one up?
