If you want to pick up some cheap Blu-rays, Xbox 360 games or anything else that has ridiculous region coding, you’ll be happy to know that Amazon UK is offering free super saver shipping to Australia (and NZ, India and South Africa) until January 15 when you spend £25. Given you can pick up the extended Lord Of The Rings Blu-rays for the equivalent of 60 bucks, this is an easy way to spend a lot of money. [Amazon]

Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 2:07 PMYes.. this has been around for ages. Nice to know, for those that weren’t aware of it.. but yes.. it’s not new, nor is it “going away” any time soon.. and definitely not after lunch is over.

The Blu-Rays don’t always work.
I bought the Lord of The Rings Box set from Amazon.co.uk, put it into my PS3 and a message saying the disc was not compatible came up. Tried it in a friends PS3 and same issue. It clearly says Region B on the box as well.

Friday, January 13, 2012 at 10:53 AMThanks, but I ordered a LOTR box set yesterday before checking this post :(
Hope it works on my PS3.
I hate how they overprice stuff in Australia and then make it complicated for importing it. Damn them.
