If You Steal A Phone, Calling The Police From It Will Probably Get You Arrested

A couple of Northern Territory girls are today learning a valuable lesson – if you steal a phone and then use it to call police after you get lost, you will end up getting arrested.

The girls allegedly broke into a car in Katherine in the NT, found the owner’s house keys, which they used to enter his house and steal his car keys, wallet and phone. After an undisclosed period of joyriding the girls crashed the car, and unsure of their location, decided to call police on the stolen phone. They used a tracking application called “Where Are You” to help police find them.

Naturally, the girls were taken into custody.

Let this be a lesson to you kids: Crime doesn’t pay, especially when you call the police yourselves.

The year is still young. There are dumber crims in Alice Springs that are yet to shine.

Being a dumb criminal is a self defining act.
The Chronically stupid steal because they’re chronically stupid… It’s something to do after hanging around all day at a shopping centre in their tracksuit pants.

Does that makes those beacons of industry on Wall Street that “stole” trillions stupid?

Yes and yes again, they are stupid. Dumb as dirt: look what they did to their country’s economy and that of the rest of the world. That downturn and lack of stability hurts everyone’s bottom line, including their own as well as their national pride.

The thing is, what they have in common with the stupid car stealing children here is that they weren’t smart enough or lucky enough to make their money and acquire and material goods the legal way, so they took the easy and stupid option that is open to everyone, but only taken by a thick few.

Actually, for a certain section of the community, crime does pay.
So these girls are successfully prosecuted and what then?
    I’ll tell you; a ‘slap-on-the-wrist’ and ‘bye-bye and don’t do it again’.
Next time they steal and destroy someone else’s car, they should total themselves too…
