Droid RAZR Maxx: Eight Hours Of LTE Battery Life

If the Droid RAZR Maxx is anything to go by, idiotically terrible battery life on LTE phones might be a thing of the past. Laptop Mag ran battery tests on several LTE models and the Maxx crushed everything by a crazy margin.

The result was eight hours 25 minutes of continuous LTE surfing with 40 per cent brightness. That’s almost twice as long as the four hours 45 minutes of the first Droid RAZR, which itself was already a good bit ahead of the Galaxy Nexus.

Totally nuts, and worth the itty bit of extra bulk from the humongous 3300mAh battery. Pop over to Laptop to check out the rest of the details of the test. [Laptop Mag]

I would happily add a small amount of thickness to a phone for better battery life. I have a GSG1 which is 14mm thick and I have no problem at all with fitting it in my pocket. The Razr Maxx is still thinner than that so IMO they would put an even bigger battery in it. I want 2 days decent use and I’m happy to have a thinker phone. This mine is thinner than yours pissing contest is just stupid now.

Hell yeah. Lets get them into a pissing contest for how long a phone can operate for, highest talk times and xG data speeds. Fat should be the new thin (for phones).

I’m tempted to get this or the galaxy note it has a 2500mah battery, leaning towards the note rather than razr because Motorola lock their boot loaders and support is terrible outside of the US. But it maxx looks like sweet phone otherwise
