Warning: Don’t Install Full Siri On Your iPhone 4

I personally don’t give a damn about this gimmicky piece of software, but if you have a jailbroken iPhone 4 now you can add full Siri functionality using a Cydia program called H1Siri. Unfortunately, there’s a catch.

Grant Paul has detected that the hack sends your personal information through a server in China. And with personal information I mean email, SMS, calendar, contacts and location. Good luck with that.

And to top it all, it uses copyrighted Apple code. Don’t install this stuff. You are not missing much. [Twitter via iDownloadblog via TechCrunch]

    bummer.

What I don’t understand is why Siri has to be a server client setup.

Isn’t there enough grunt on the iPhone to process a voice command?

Even voice stuff on Android phones needs the server.
