The line between Apple enthusiasts and religious cult obsessives is already somewhat blurry, and this is not going to help: a store in Italy which specialises in figures for nativity scenes this year expanded its range to include a rendering of Steve Jobs holding what I guess is supposed to be a MacBook Air.
No word on the pricing of the figure, produced by Maestri Ferrigno in the Via San Gregorio Armeno. But if you feel like this was the detail that was missing from your Christmas decorations this year, you’ve got a whole 12 months to shuffle over to Naples and grab one. Or not. Buying an iPad might be a more fitting tribute to the departed Apple founder.

Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 3:27 PMThe idea of worshiping Steve Jobs as a God is no more silly than worshipping all the other false gods and idols out there. I’m looking at you Jesus!
I can’t wait to a Steve Ballmer nativity doll :)

Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 1:59 AMWell it really, really is quite a bit more silly back in the lovely land of reality here since on one hand you have a celebrity CEO of a consumer tech company and on the other you have established cultural traditions almost 2 thousand years old.
Sort of a slight difference there. ;)
Of course gods aren’t real, but established social cultural traditions are one thing, deifying a consumer is on another level.
