If this monstrous snaking course is what slides are like at Japanese playgrounds, my mind probably won’t even be able to begin to comprehend the magnitude of their swingsets. I imagine they must tower over skyscrapers.
I have no idea where this footage was captured, but as impressed as I am with this slide’s massive dimensions, I’m equally impressed by its use of rollers along the entire ride which no doubt helps keep it clean and dry at all times. And while you’d expect the rider to come blasting off the end at uncontrollable speeds, their arrival at the bottom looks gentle and controlled. So maybe this over-the-top creation isn’t the injury lawsuit factory it looks like. [YouTube via College Humor]
