Google Employees Testing Ice Cream Sandwich On Nexus S

Like almost every other Android user on the planet, I’m eagerly awaiting Ice Cream Sandwich. Google employees, however, have no such wait: they’re lucky enough to have received it as an update on their Nexus S handsets.

The operating system was rolled out as an over-the-air update, Android Police report, and this widespread employee testing is probably one of the final hurdles before an official roll out.

Amusingly, some Google employees thought it would be OK to tweet about their upgrade, which is how the news leaked. Sadly, most of the tweets have now been deleted — but they didn’t really offer much insight anyway.

There’s still no official word on when Ice Scream Sandwich will be released, but this news suggests it won’t be too long. Patience, young grasshopper. [Android Police]
