Get The Free NASA Ascent Shuttle App For iPad

I’m surprised that, after three decades of amazing launches, hundreds of outstanding missions, great science and some very sad moments, there’s no more stuff celebrating the space shuttle. Thankfully, NASA is coming to the rescue with this free iPad app.

The app is called Ascent: Commemorating Shuttle. It has the entire 45-minute movie using the “best of the best ground based Shuttle motion imagery from the STS-114, STS-117 and STS-124 missions”. The app also includes many additional scenes, images and production notes.

Trust me, the 645MB download is totally worth it. [iTunes]
