One of the cardinal rules of Hollywood is that in order to be a very good looking actor, you also have to be very smart. So, we’re confused as to why Brangelina seem to be breaking that rule. INTERENT HARD.
In an interview with USA Today, Jolie was asked whether the two online shop for Christmas presents — this was a hard-hitting interview, okay?
“Brad and I were on Amazon.com for the first time a week ago. But we got lost. After an hour, we just shut it off. My brain is too scattered and the wires go in different directions. I’ll stick to catalogues.”
Granted, Amazon’s web interface is pretty lousy, but if you’re used a computer within the past two decades, you should be able to navigate it without calling in a personal shopper and/or seeing eye dog.
And yet — lost! Like two adventurers, flung from their canoe, splashing desperately in the middle of the Nile. How did we wind up here? I typed TABLET COMPUTER but now all I see are socks?? What is this? Who are you? Where are the TABLET COMPUTERS? Where do I click to adopt children? Everything is spinning. Brad? Brad are you there? The mouse is tangled around my arm! I can’t — I can’t find — I — … [USA Today via Daily What]

I’m always amazed at my finacee who can’t even work the printer, let alone use tabbed browsing and actual menus in apps that are almost always the same (ie. File menu, Edit menu etc).. She is 25 years old.. yet when it comes to computers she is as out of water as my grandfather was.. :) It’s kinda cute.. but it can be a bit frustrating.

Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 9:24 AMTo be fair, Amazon’s web pages do really really suck, imagine how much MORE shit they would sell if they could make it look good and easy to follow the content on the pages. Its like they are stuck back when and where the most exciting HTML tags available. I’m sure they would rather like to advertise “so easy, even actors can use it!”

Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 10:43 AMI’ve used Amazon for awhile now, Mouse, remote etc. My biggest issue is the bloody time it takes for US mail to actually be delivered, average time for me is four or five weeks. Last time it was so late that when I complained about it they actually gave me back my postage cost and asked me to wait a bit longer. Fortunately it did get here in the end! Oh and yeah, it is a bit convoluted. Plus, when are they going to build an Australian outlet? If you punch in .com.au it diverts to .uk?

Scripts make them look intelligent and make-up and costuming make them look good, but that doesn’t equal the real world.

Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 9:28 AMAmazon is the worst, crappiest, disorganised, disjointed piece of crap I have seen in a long time.
Might have been ok in the 90s.
